Despite the drop in stock prices, Dollar Tree emphasized its commitment to providing value to customers. Witynski stated, We will continue to be fiercely protective of that promise, regardless of the price point, whether it is $1.00, $1.25, $1.50. The announcement sparked mixed reactions among customers, with concerns about the impact of the price change on the store’s appeal.
